From Niigata to Adirsville
Airman USA Corporation — AUC — is the American operating arm of Airman Corp, the Japanese industrial manufacturer founded in Niigata in 1938.
For most of the 20th century, Airman built the machines that rebuilt Japan: portable compressors for railway construction, generators for post-war infrastructure, the quiet workhorses behind highways, harbors, and the bullet train. The engineering discipline that came out of that era — obsessive tolerances, sound-attenuated enclosures, multi-thousand-hour duty cycles — is still the standard inside every unit we ship today.
AUC was established in 2014 to bring that lineage to the American market — calibrated for U.S. emissions, U.S. voltages, and the climates and contractors that define how American jobsites actually run.

Eight decades

1938
Founded in Niigata, Japan
The company opens as a manufacturer of portable air compressors for industrial and construction applications, serving the rebuilding of Japan's transport and energy infrastructure.
1967
PDS series launches
The Portable Diesel Screw (PDS) compressor line is introduced — the architecture that would go on to become the company's defining product family for the next half-century.
1985
SDG generator program
Silenced Diesel Generator (SDG) series begins shipping, pioneering sound-attenuated canopy designs that set noise-floor benchmarks for the industry.
